Dear Asbury & Wesley Oak Family,

undefined
This week people have been getting the church ready for Vacation Bible School. This is always an exciting time of year as we anticipate all of the wonderful things our children will be experiencing this week. I want to say a great big “THANK YOU” to all of the people who have been helping and to all who will be serving this week. Thank you for being God’s hands and feet. Thank you for helping our children experience God’s love.
Tomorrow, we will be dedicating those of you who will be in ministry this week at VBS. I want to encourage all of our church members to be lifting up our leaders and our children every day.

FOOD TRUCK PARTY VBS — TOMORROW (JUNE 12th-17th)

It’s still not too late to register for VBS. If you have thought of a child that would benefit from this great experience, please encourage them to join us tomorrow.
VBS is for children in K-5th grades! All the joy, fun, and learning start each night at 5:30 pm and goes to 8:30 pm. Supper is provided. VBS is one of those special, special experiences at Asbury. Thank you to all of our members (lay ministers) who give of their time and energy to make VBS so special!

GRIEF SEMINAR, SATURDAY, JUNE 18th

This coming Saturday, our Stephen Ministry will be hosting a Grief Seminar titled, "Life after Loss: Tools for the Journey." The event is June 18th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. We are blessed that our very own Rev. Holland Morgan is a Bereavement Counselor and will be leading the workshop. There is no fee, but it will help to know the number of people in attendance, so please call the church office to reserve your place at 912-233-4351.

EASTER OFFERING FOR THE PEOPLE OF UKRAINE

Our office manager, Claudette DeLong, has informed me that the total of the special Easter Offering for the people of Ukraine totals $8,632.00. The big hearts of the people of Asbury never cease to amaze me. Thank you for what you have done to assist those who have suffered so greatly. Please continue to lift up the people of Ukraine in prayer.

ONLINERS — CHAT AWAY

I want to remind those who are worshipping online that they can chat and connect with others worshipping online starting at 11:00 a.m. every Sunday. It’s wonderful to see people greeting each other from different parts of the country and world. So please use your phones or computers to connect and fellowship with others before the service begins on Sundays.
As always, I am looking forward to our time of worship together. The biblical text for tomorrow’s service is a parable that more than likely inspired Charles Dickens to write his famous novel, A Christmas Carol.
Have a blessed Sabbath!
God bless us, everyone!!!
