Dear Asbury & Wesley Oak Family,

What a great Sunday we had last week with our Vacation Bible School children leading us in worship and sharing what they learned during their time in VBS. How wonderful it was to have our pulpit filled with the smiles and sounds of our children!
This coming Sunday, we are excited to have a guest choir joining us. As part of their "All Rise" summer tour, the Chancel Choir from Chester UMC in Chester, VA along with Dove Award nominee Tiffany Coburn leading us in worship.

The Chester United Methodist Church Chancel Choir has been leading worship for generations at CUMC on a weekly basis. In 2006, we took our first concert tour through central Kentucky. That sparked our tradition of touring every other year. We have performed in Virginia, Kentucky, Florida, North and South Carolina, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. In 2019, we had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall with choirs from across the nation, under the direction of Joseph Martin. We feel so blessed to be able to share the truths of God’s grace with our church and community and beyond. We sing with Spirit and gladness, a joy that comes from God’s presence rooted in each of our hearts.
Guest Soloist Tiffany Coburn’s unmistakable voice has brought inspiration and happiness to friends and families for decades. She has a heart and relentless passion for ministry. The stellar gift Tiffany Coburn brings to the world through her music is remarkable. Whether you hear her singing with Disney’s “Voices of Liberty”, “Voctave” or performing at churches and concert halls across the country, your heart will be moved by her sweet spirit and powerful voice.
While Tiffany enjoys every opportunity to perform as a featured soloist at Carnegie Hall, the Lincoln Center, for the Boston Pops, and for orchestras across the country; it is the opportunities to share her heart through music with the church that are the most special.
Tiffany’s chart-topping inspirational Christian release “Near to the Heart: Cherished Hymns & Songs of Inspiration” introduced her worldwide as one of the most powerful and distinctive female voices in Gospel music. Her newest album, “You Are More,” was nominated for a Dove Award in 2021 for Inspirational Album of the Year.
We hope you can all join us in worship this Sunday. After the service, join us for our "Coffee Hour" in the courtyard where we will able to fellowship with our guest and each other.
With Music in our hearts,
Ray
