As I'm writing this email, Zeus and Thor are having quite a conversation! Both of these gods of thunder are either speaking very loudly or their stomachs are growling. I've never heard so much thunder. Our dogs are climbing the walls.

It' a good thing that Zeus and Thor should be finished in a few hours because we have a movie to watch at the church tonight. If the forecast is correct, the thunder and rain should be over, and we'll be fine to enjoy the film, The Peanut Butter Falcon.

Festivities begin at 6:30 and we'll start the movie at 7:00 pm. Feel free to bring your own chair and goodies to share. The church will supply lemonade, water, and popcorn.

We have a great opportunity to fellowship with our Wesley Oak family this Sunday, June 30th at 1:00 pm. Following our worship service, we'll head over to Thunderbolt with our vittles for a time of food and fun with our Wesley Oak community. If you are able to participate, keep your food items in the car and then we'll drive over to Wesley Oak after our service is over. Wesley Oak is on the corner of Victory Drive and Mechanics Blvd. in Thunderbolt.

The Memorial Service for Bev Blank will be at held at Asbury this coming Saturday, July 6th at 1:00 p.m. We continue to lift up Marilyn Leigh in our prayers. 

This Sunday I will be sharing what I believe is the secret to happiness. The text I'll be using is II Corinthians 8:7-15, but the two main ingredients I'll be talking about are sprinkled throughout the pages of scripture - in both the Hebrew scriptures and the New Testament.

Of course, one of main things that brings me joy and happiness is being with you on a Sunday at Asbury. I am also overjoyed that many people join us Online from different parts of the world.
