Church Family,

Thank you for all that you did for my family during my mother's illness and after her passing. Your love and support have been greatly felt and appreciated. We will miss mom, but you have helped soften the blow and ease the pain. The Celebration Service was an incredible experience, and the food and hospitality that you displayed after the service was heavenly. She loved Asbury and Wesley Oak. One of my last favorite pictures of her was in her hospital bed reading the church newsletter. She cared so deeply for how God was working through our ministries and in the lives of our people. I hope we can all love and serve God's church the way she did.

Mark Erelli — Tomorrow, May 20, 7 PM

Last summer, Cheri and I experienced a night on the coast of Massachusetts we will never forget. As we were sitting on an island porch gazing at a sunset slipping beneath the ocean, singer/songwriter, Mark Erelli, serenaded us with his incredible songs. It was a heavenly experience!
After Mark's little outdoor concert, and after I learned of his social justice interests, I told him that I wish I could get him to come to Savannah and do a concert at Asbury. Well, it's hard to believe...a year hasn't even gone by, and it's happening! Mark will be singing tomorrow night at Asbury!
Come one! Come all! Tickets can be purchased at the door or online on our website. Invite others. We'll have some punch and cookies with Mark afterwards...and he'll have his CDs available to purchase.
Here is a link to some of Mark's music.

Honoring Our Graduates This Sunday

One of my favorite Sundays is when we honor our high school grads. I'm looking forward to all of us celebrating this great achievement with them. It is also one of my least favorite Sundays because I know that some of these young adults will not be at church as often. It is especially going to be hard with this group because these four grads have been an integral part of the church and its ministries for a long time. They are:
Ashelyn Carden
Sam Povie
Natalie Tisinger
Henry White

VBS is Right Around the Corner! Just 2 Weeks Away!

It is hard to believe, but it is almost time for Vacation Bible School! The adventure begins on Sunday, June 4th! We want LOTS of participants and LOTS of volunteers. This is a great way to be in ministry AND a great way to connect with members of your church family. It will be a week in your life that you will never forget. Contact Chris Kincade or the church office to register children or to volunteer.

Wednesday Night Suppers — Only 1 Left!

Join us for the last Wednesday Night Supper until the fall. Take advantage of this last opportunity to commune with your church family. Plus, it's really, really good food!!! Contact the church office and reserve a spot so we can have enough of that really, really good food for everyone!
Hope to see you at Mark's concert tomorrow....and in church on Sunday or over the airwaves as we celebrate four AMAZING graduates!
Love & Blessings to all!
