Church Family,

I'm happy to report that after stopping our 10 O'clock Hour gathering for adults just before the pandemic, we are finally ready to bring it back.

The purpose of this gathering is to help us grow in knowledge and faith and to grow in relationships and community. Anyone and everyone is invited to participate. The class will be looking at the great video series, Living the Questions. I watched the first video session this week and loved it! I had forgotten just how good this series is. So, gather with us in Holliday Hall starting at 9:45 a.m. We'll start the class at 10:00 a.m.

SING & SWING FAMILY FLING TONIGHT!

Our very own disc jockey, Barri Marshall, will be spinning records tonight so we can have a lot of fun singing and dancing in Holliday Hall. All the fun starts at 6:30! It's free! Invite family and friends to join us!

CONGREGATIONS IN SERVICE!

Looking ahead on our calendars, please note that on Saturday, September 21st, we'll be hosting Congregations In Service. We'll start gathering around the Coffee Pot in Holliday Hall at 8:00 a.m. followed by a brief ceremony before we go to serve at one of the following:
  • Park Place a home for runaway children at 514 Henry St. They need painting and power washing.
  • Safe Shelter for victims of domestic violence. They need help setting up for a yard sale to be held on Sunday.
  • Dog Walking at the Humane Society.
  • Shelter from the Rain is an agency that helps single pregnant woman. They are in need of supplies. They have a large supply of donated newborn diapers but need larger sizes. Baby wipes, diaper rash cream etc. please bring items to Asbury, or you can order online and have them sent directly to Congregations in Service C/O Asbury Memorial,1008 Henry St Savannah GA 31401
  • We will also have work for those unable to be outside. No Sew Blankets for the refugee children at Inspiritus, and pillowcases. Hygiene kits for Church World Service for distribution in Gaza, fires, floods and other disasters.

SECOND HALF LIVING!

Sunday, I will be preaching the third sermon of a five-week sermon series on "The Future of the Church." This week, my sermon title is, "Second Half Living."
Look forward to being with you — whether it's at the dance tonight or at church on Sunday.
Love and Blessings to all!
