The guest preacher for this Sunday was Rev. Jeanette Purvis. She was born in Atlanta and grew up in Decatur, Georgia, attending Candler School of Theology at Emory University in Atlanta. She worked for 18 years in Medical Technology before entering the ministry. Now, she is retired from the North Georgia UMC Conference. She and her husband of 33 years, Richard, are part of the Asbury church family, and they both love it. They enjoy spending time with their four children and seven grandchildren and working on their retro house!
