Flowers:

The flowers for Sunday's worship service are given in honor of Jane and Jerry Thimme's anniversary and also in memory of Jug Knight by Claire Knight.

Special Thanks:

Every Sunday at Asbury, there are people who work behind the scenes to help make the day meaningful and wonderful for all of us and our visitors. We thank those unsung heroes of faith—our hospitality team, ushers, greeters, connectors, nursery workers, and children's church teachers.

The Complete Service
  • The Scripture lesson is from John 4:1-30, 39, acted out by David Alley as Jesus and Beth Tyson as the Samaritan woman, with narration by Cheri Hester.
  • Rev. Hester's sermon revolves around the conversation Jesus had with a Samaritan woman by the well.
  • We know you like to hear the choir, but at this time they are not gathering in a group. Instead they grace us with an anthem sung at the February 23rd service, a Native American Melody, "Living Water, Guiding Spirit", with words and music by Joseph M. Martin. Directed by Ray Ellis. The piano was played by Kay Deffley. Additional percussions played by Sharon Page on rain stick, Chuck Long on finger cymbals, Nick Deffley on claves, Doug Povie on congas.
  • The service ends with a special song to the tune of "The House of the Rising Sun," written by Billy Hester (words are available in the bulletin).

We Hope You Enjoyed this Service
