SYNOPSIS

  • PRELUDE: Asbury Musicians
  • INTRODUCTION: Rev. Billy Hester
  • In this Good Friday Service, we will use scripture, Taizé chants, and periods of silence for prayer and reflection, especially focusing on Christ's words during his time of suffering on the cross. The Taizé chants are repeated, often many times. Please feel free to join in the singing or to sit in quiet reflection or to sit in quiet reflection or to do either at any time. The church is gifting each person with an Olive Wood Cross. It is a "holding cross" designed to aid with prayer as it reminds us of God's presence. Please feel free to use it tonight for your time of prayer and meditation and to take it with you for your faith journey.
